CM-Logic Ltd today announced that IBM Global Services has extended its deployment of CM-InSync™ to manage the synchronisation of ClearCase MultiSite® replicas between sites for a large development project. IBM Global Services is managing a large project based in three locations; Hursley UK, Warwick UK, and Bangalore India. This latest addition adds another site installation to this project.
The project has over 600 personnel and requires the ClearCase repositories to be kept up to date across all sites. CM-Logic provided CM-InSync™ to act as the synchronisation management tool to ensure that all replicas are being synced successfully and that any synchronisation errors are automatically resolved or email notification sent to the SCM support staff.
The CM-InSync™ web based reporting tool enables project managers, development managers and report staff to easily determine, in real time, sync status of all repositories across all sites. CM-InSync has been operational for three months as of this announcement and the project has not experienced any downtime due to lost packets or failed imports which haven't been resolved. As the project has grown it was recognised that CM-InSync continues to provide the synchronisation management required.
Key features of CM-InSync™ include:
- Synchronisation management of ClearCase MultiSite®
- Synchronisation management through firewalls with no additional hardware
- Synchronisation concurrency management
- Data packet encryption
- Automatic epoch rollback and recovery
- Full email notification system
- Remote site synchronisation request management
- Full GUI and WEB based interface
“;IBM Global Services continues to recognise the value of CM-InSync as an add-on solution for IBM Rational ClearCase MultiSite® and we believe it sends out a strong endorsement of our knowledge and capabilities.” states Tracey Streak, Director, CM-Logic. “It is always our mission to provide best in class products and services for IBM Rational products so it is especially important to see the manufacturer of ClearCase themselves consider our tools for their own use.”
