CM-Logic Ltd today announced that it has released version 4.0.2 of its widely used ClearCase MultiSite® synchronisation automation tool, CM-InSync™.
Many CM-InSync™ users already benefit from the tools capability to ensure that VOBs and replicas are kept fully in step with each other without needing manual intervention to recover any lost packets and its support for firewall configurations.
CM-InSync remains the only application that manages MultiSite synchronisation through a single TCP port which therefore provides the security aspect that many organisations require.
CM-InSync operates with ClearCase MultiSite 4.0 and above. It does not require any changes to vob configurations or updates to the ClearCase installs including the registry server.
Version 4.0.2 of CM-InSync adds many new features to the tool including:
- Concurrent Sync Limiting.
It is now possible to configure how syncs are running in parallel at any time and should the number of scheduled syncs exceed the parallel setting they are put onto a queue which is also configurable to select the depth of queue entries. This feature is useful for those that have a large number of scheduled syncs starting at the same time but want to limit the load on the server.
- Improved FTP management.
CM-InSync generated sync packets can now write directly to the FTP server and therefore reducing the number of file transfers required to deliver a packet to the required destination.
- Performance Improvements.
CM-InSync now uses faster compression methods on sync packets and has improved the export/import times.
- Improved GUI.
Improved functions on the GUI include new shortcuts to tasks such as:
- Changing Sync Schedules.
- Changing Sync packet size limits.
- Changing notification lists.
- Enabling/Disabling Specific site.
